Why there is usually nothing to remove

This is a tool, not a host. A file you upload is not published, not listed, not indexed and not shared. The only way to reach it is a signed link held by the person who uploaded it, which stops working in fifteen minutes, and the file itself is deleted within two hours.

So a notice about a file on TrestlePDF will almost always arrive after the file has ceased to exist. We cannot remove what is already gone, and we have no record of what it was.

Sending a notice

If you believe material connected to this site infringes a copyright you own, write to our designated agent with all of the following. A notice missing any of it cannot be acted on.

• Your signature, physical or electronic.
• What work you say is infringed.
• What material you are complaining about, with enough detail for us to find it.
• How to contact you: address, telephone and email.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

Counter-notice

If something of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It needs your signature, what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was an error, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live or where we are.

Repeat infringers

We end access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright, in the circumstances the law requires.

Designated agent

Notices go to TO BE SET: name of the designated DMCA agent, at TO BE SET: email address for copyright notices, or on paper to TO BE SET: registered name of the operating entity, TO BE SET: postal address for legal notices.

Notices sent to any other address may not reach the right person and will not start the clock.
